Anca Benera

Anca Benera (born in 1977, Romania) and Arnold Estefan (born in 1978, Romania) are artists and co-founders of the Centre for Visual Introspection in Bucharest. They are working collectively since 2011. Recent exhibitions: The School of Kyiv — The Biennale, Kyiv (2015); Global Control and Censorship, ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany (2015); Check Your Head!, Off, Biennale Budapest (2015); Der Brancusi-Effekt, Kunsthalle, Vienna (2014); Sights and Sounds: Global Film and Video, The Jewish Museum, New York (2014); We were so few and so many of us are left, Bucharest, Budapest (solo shows, 2013); Mom, am I a barbarian?, 13th Istanbul Biennial (2013); Intense Proximity, La Triennale, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012), Documenta 13, Kassel (2012). The works of Benera and Estefan are kept in a public collection of the National Museum of Contem- porary Art, Bucharest. Awards: Special Prize Create your Bucharest!
