Albert Heta
Albert Heta was born in 1974 in Pristina (Kosovo), in 1999 graduated from the University of Prishtina, the Faculty of Arts. He works in installation, photography, performance and video art. Solo exhibitions: Contemporary Art Space, Pristina (2009); Homesick, the Santa Fe Art Institute Building, Santa Fe, New Mexico (2005); Kosovar Pavilion, Venice Biennale (2005); Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo, Prague, Czech Republic, public media intervention, Prague (2005); Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo, Prague, Cetinje, public installation, vandalised and removed by the organisers, 5th Biennial of Cetinje (2004); Welcome, Galerie 35, Berlin (2003); It’s time to go visiting: no visa required, public intervention on British Airways billboards, Pristina (2003); Happiness – Independence Day: 1 minute, public media intervention, Pristina (2001). Albert Heta has participated in a number of group exhibitions. His works have been exhibited in Slovenia, Croatia, USA, Spain, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Greece, Chile, South Korea, Germany, and Kosovo.
