Sergei Novikov was born in 1979 in Cheboksary. In 2007, he graduated from a photographic editing course at the Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia. From 2008 has been working in project photography. Has participated in group exhibitions in Russia and abroad, including in the Silver Camera exhibition (Moscow, 2010, 2012), Baltic Biennial (Kaliningrad, 2013), Volga Biennial (Nizhny Novgorod, 2014), Warsaw Photo Days (Poland, 2014), PhotoVisa (Krasnodar, 2014). Has published his projects in magazines such as Esquire, Bolshoi Gorod, Russian Reporter, Afisha-Mir, PROsport and Rolling Stone, and the photographic blogs DVA Foto, Landscape Stories, Lenscratch, Calvert Journal, Flaworwire, The Atlantic Cities, Oitarizme, New Landscape Photography, F Stop Magazine, Openspace.ru, Russian Planet, Colta.ru and others. Lives and works in Moscow.
